Few coloured cosmetics tend to catch my eye but the Eye of Horus Jewel Amethyst Goddess Pencil* is gorgeous. This shade was inspired by Pantone's Colour Of The Year, Radiant Orchid, and is just one of a range of shades available among Eye of Horus' sensitive eye friendly products. Besides the hue, the formula is on point. Forget tough waxy pencils. This can be applied without tugging at the eye area; I can apply this with the gentlest hand and the colour payoff is still highly pigmented.

Inspired by the Dior Addict It-Lash mascara ad (the one on the back of pretty much every glossy magazine for the past few months) I applied this as a second liner above a black feline flick right from the inner corner of the eye. Instead of full on Kenzo coloured liner, black liner makes the look more wearable for day to day, with a subtle pop of colour. This purple shade would look amazing with brown eyes. I would be keen to try the Nubian Brown Goddess Pencil or Bronze Amulet Goddess Pencil as both would fit nicely in to my daily make up bag.

Other products used:
